Telling the Tales of Faith

I recently had some friends visit from TN. We hadn’t seen each other for months, and we talked and laughed nonstop. It was glorious. And I noticed a recurring theme. God stories.

We shared stories of outrageous prayers and how God had shown up. If one of us described a hardship or hurt, the others would share how the Holy Spirit had helped us navigate a similar wound.

For three days, we had church. Real church. We spoke God’s truth over each other’s fears. We cried. We giggled. We listened.

We rejoiced over victories. We enjoyed good meals together. We simply rested. Together.

My soul is so refreshed. My heart is revived by their living faith and how God is releasing His grace through us all.

I said years ago that our goal as God’s people is to soak in revelation and community. Where our personal intimacy with God is shared through spirit-filled revelation and honest, enduring community. Sounds like heaven.

I wonder, are God stories part of your natural conversations? I don’t mean converting someone, or one-upping someone, or theologically crushing someone. Scripture says to “be a witness.” To testify as a witness to what you have personally seen God do.  God stories. They change people’s trajectories.

Thankful for my sassy sistahs. So glad to share life with them as we all do life with our beautiful God.
